Keeping FilmPlus up to Date

NOTE - CHECK TO SEE IF FilmPlus IS WORKING, FIRST... only follow this post if you are having issues.  

As of Sept 25 the current version of FilmPlus is V. 2.1.4

Back up your History and Favourites

• Open FilmPlus
• Click on the Menu Icon (top Left Corner of Filmplus app)
• Scroll down to Others - and click on Settings
• Scroll down to Back Up History and click on it
• Scroll down to Back up Favorite and click on it

You need to uninstall the old version and re-install the Current Version

How To Uninstall the app

• Go to the main home screen on your box
• Click on Settings

             (Zoomtak owners will need to click on Advanced Settings, then More

               Settings)

• In the Apps row, Scroll across and select the app you want to uninstall
• Scroll down and select Uninstall
• Click Ok to confirm you wish to Uninstall the app.To Install a fresh version of FilmPlus
  

How to download the current version of the app

• Open your browser (Web) on your android box and navigate to www.shopedmi.com/tools and Refresh the browser page (circular Arrow Icon in top of browser) and hit enter.
• Click on the Filmplus button to download the app)
• Click on the Download Button

              Note - you will see a screen that says "File might be harmful" 

              click Download Anyway

• You should see a message "Download Started"          
• Return to your home page, and click on apps select File Manager or File Browssr and navigate to Local Disk - Downloads

Install the new version of FilmPlus

• Select the file that you just downloaded (if in doubt look for the file that has the most recent date) click Install, and Done when finished.
• Make sure you Allow and Accept all options that come up to ensure it has every permission required, click OK on the Update Log that will appear.

Restore your History and Favourites

• Open FilmPlus
• Click on the Menu Icon (top Left Corner of Filmplus app)
• Scroll down to Others - and click on Settings
• Scroll down to Restore History and click on it
• Scroll down to Restore Favorite and click on it

Note - History and Favorites should still be there, but if not:
